We’ve put together a bunch of common questions to help you understand the WA Roadshow.
If we haven’t answered your question, please contact us directly.
For the most part – Yes. There are some activities that will be open to partners / family and there will be men at some Roadshow activities providing volunteer support / services i.e. shuttles, mechanic support, photographers, etc.
Our events rely heavily on volunteers, so our WA Gravity Girls can participate in the festivities. The guys play a big role in making this happen.
Event activities including Social Rides / Transport / General tickets / Shuttle passes (except on Sunday 29th Oct) are for WA Gravity Girl riders only.
Partners / family members are able to participate in the following activities:
– Tuesday 24th – Sunday 30th October Camping / glamping at Linga Longa Estate
– Friday 28th Oct – evening Sundowner at Nannup
– Sunday 29th Oct – Partners and family shuttle day at Linga Longa
The public trail networks are not closed during the Roadshow, therefore partners / family members can ride at these locations on the same day.
Saturday 28th October Linga Longa is closed to the general public and only open for WA Gravity Girls riders. Partners / family are encouraged to visit Nannup / Pemberton / Wellington Mill / surrounding networks on this day. Spectating / watching on this day is not permitted.
No, the trail networks will still be open to the general public during the Roadshow, with the exception of Linga Longa Bike Park.
Only Roadshow ticket holders will be able to access the park on the 28th & 29th of October.
Riders must be at least 8 years or older to attend as a ticket holder. Anyone under the age of 18 must attend with a responsible adult for all activities.
If your child is <8 yrs old they are still welcome at the venues and can free ride with a supervising adult at public locations. This would constitute riding as if they were a usual public attendee outside of the event. They are not eligible to purchase a Roadshow ticket.
They are welcome to camp / glamp at Linga Longa Estate.
All base level tickets include ride location fees, access to event activities, entertainment and event services.
Extras can be purchased for Shuttles and Transport between locations.
Accommodation – these must be booked separately. Please refer to Roadshow Guide for recommendations.
Food & Drink – tickets do not include food and drink and are an additional cost during the event.
No, you must have a Roadshow ticket and shuttle pass to access shuttles over the event. Whilst we are using common shuttle operators, to manage capacity and enable operators to run concurrently for all event attendees. You will be given a wrist band to wear to access shuttles at the event if you have an eligible ticket.
Single day tickets: $30 – $150 per day
Transport costs: $30 – $90 per day
Accommodation: $20 – $200 per night
A full Perth Roadshow ticket costs:
Approx $140 (including shuttles, no transport)
Approx $230 (including shuttles & transport)
A full South West Roadshow ticket costs:
Approx $450 (including shuttles, no transport)
Approx $800 (including shuttles & transport)
*Accommodation and food costs are in addition to these prices.
Running an event has a number of overheads including – administration costs for ticket sales, website, accounting fees, insurances, licence fees, hire of equipment / toilets, club ride and shuttle fees, venue fees, etc.
A portion of your ticket will also be returned to the clubs supporting the event to assist with maintaining their trail network and supporting women’s initiatives within their organisation. It also supports WA Gravity Girls to continue operations and to put the event on. Our events are run solely by volunteers.
Sunday 15th October or unless sold out prior. There will be a cap on ticket numbers.
A full face helmet is usually required at Linga Longa Bike Park. For the Roadshow the park is allowing open face helmets on green and blue trails only.
Whilst all other locations do not require a full face helmet, we would strongly recommend that you consider wearing one when riding, particularly for shuttled locations.
If you plan to ride at Linga Longa Bike Park you will be required to have an active AusCycling membership – lifestyle or race.
Whilst other ride locations do not require you to be a member of West Cycle / AusCycling, it is recommended you have some level of personal injury / accident insurance. This can be through organisations such as West Cycle / AusCycling.
WA Gravity Girls need time to relocate resourcing from Perth to the South West so we need a down day! If you’re planning on doing the full Roadshow, we’ve left this open for you to explore Perth City or have a day off before heading South
